حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمَ اسْتَفْتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَالْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَدِيفُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَل
َّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَجِّ أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْتَوِيَ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ فَهَلْ يَقْضِي عَنْهُ أَنْ أَحُجَّ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَعَمْ فَأَخَذَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَلْتَفِتُ إِلَيْهَا وَكَانَتْ امْرَأَةً حَسْنَاءَ فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْفَضْلَ فَحَوَّلَ وَجْهَهُ مِنْ الشِّقِّ الْآخَرِ

English Translation
Sa'd ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Salih, from Ibn Shihab: Sulayman ibn Yasar informed him that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) informed him that a woman from Khath'am sought a ruling from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Farewell Pilgrimage while al-Fadl ibn 'Abbas was riding behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said: "O Messenger of Allah, the obligation of Allah regarding Hajj has come upon my father when he is an elderly man who cannot sit upright on the mount. Will it suffice if I perform Hajj on his behalf?" the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Yes." Al-Fadl ibn 'Abbas began turning to look at her, and she was a beautiful woman. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took al-Fadl and turned his face to the other side.
