English Translation

Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, Salih ibn Kaysan narrated to me, from 'Abdullah ibn al-Fadl ibn 'Abbas ibn Rabi'ah, from Nafi' ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما): the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A woman who has been previously married has more right over herself than her guardian, and a virgin is to be consulted, and her consent is her silence."
