حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكٌ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ظِلِّ حُجْرَةٍ مِنْ حُجَرِهِ وَعِنْدَهُ نَفَرٌ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَدْ كَادَ يَقْلِصُ عَنْهُمْ الظِّلُّ قَالَ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ سَيَأْتِيكُمْ إِنْسَانٌ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْكُمْ بِعَيْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ فَإِذَا أَتَاكُمْ فَلَا تُكَلِّمُوهُ قَالَ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ أَزْرَقُ فَدَعَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَلَّمَهُ قَالَ
عَلَامَ تَشْتُمُنِي أَنْتَ وَفُلَانٌ وَفُلَانٌ نَفَرٌ دَعَاهُمْ بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ قَالَ فَذَهَبَ الرَّجُلُ فَدَعَاهُمْ فَحَلَفُوا بِاللَّهِ وَاعْتَذَرُوا إِلَيْهِ قَالَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { يَحْلِفُونَ لَهُ كَمَا يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ وَيَحْسَبُونَ } الْآيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكٌ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسًا فِي ظِلِّ حُجْرَةٍ قَدْ كَادَ يَقْلِصُ عَنْهُ الظِّلُّ فَذَكَرَهُ

English Translation
Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, Simak narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Jubayr narrated to me, that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) narrated to him: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in the shade of a room. He said to his Companions: "Someone is coming to you now, looking with the eyes of a devil. When he comes, do not speak to him." A blue-eyed man came, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ summoned him and said: "Why do you and your companions revile me?" He went and brought his companions, and they swore by Allah that they had not said anything. So Allah revealed [the verse]: {They swear by Allah that they did not say it, while they had indeed said the word of disbelief} [al-Tawbah 9:74].
