Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّهُ مَاتَتْ شَاةٌ فِي بَعْضِ بُيُوتِ نِسَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَّا انْتَفَعْتُمْ بِمَسْكِهَا

English Translation
Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr narrated to us, Ibrahim — meaning Ibn Nafi' — narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Dinar, from 'Ata', from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) that a sheep died in one of the houses of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Why do you not make use of its skin?' They said: 'It is dead (maytah).' He said: 'Only eating it has been forbidden.'
