حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ لَمْ يَنْسُبْهُ عَفَّانُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ
رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَإِيَّايَ رَأَى فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَتَخَيَّلُ بِي وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ مَرَّةً لَا يَتَخَيَّلُنِي

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Jabir, from 'Ammar, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr who said: 'Abdullah narrated to me — 'Affan did not mention more than 'Abdullah (i.e. Ibn 'Abbas) — he said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'I was given five things that no prophet before me was given: I was aided with terror for a month's journey, the earth was made a place of prayer and purification for me, war booty was made lawful for me, I was given the general intercession, and every prophet was sent to his people specifically, while I was sent to all of mankind.'
