English Translation
Hasan narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Layth, from Tawus, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on his deathbed, he said: 'Bring me a shoulder-blade so that I may write something for you after which you will never go astray.' 'Umar said: 'the Prophet ﷺ is overcome by pain, and you have the Book of Allah, which is sufficient for us.' They differed and raised their voices, so the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Leave me, for it is not befitting to dispute in my presence.'
