English Translation

Hasan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, from al-Ja'd Abu 'Uthman, he said: I heard Abu Raja' al-'Utaridi narrating from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما), relating it from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: 'Allah عز وجل said: The son of Adam denied Me, and he had no right to do so. And the son of Adam insulted Me, and he had no right to do so. As for his denying Me, it is his saying: He will not recreate me as He created me — and the first creation is not easier for Me than repeating it. As for his insulting Me, it is his saying: Allah has taken a son — and I am the One, the Self-Sufficient, I do not beget nor was I begotten, and there is none comparable to Me.'
