بدر الدين الزركشي
Imam
Muhammad ibn Bahadur al-Zarkashi (745–794 AH / 1344–1392 CE) was one of the most learned Shafi'i scholars of the 8th century AH. Of Turkic origin, born in Egypt, he produced encyclopedic works in multiple fields. His al-Bahr al-Muhit fi Usul al-Fiqh is one of the most comprehensive works in Islamic legal theory (usul al-fiqh). His al-Burhan fi Ulum al-Quran is a landmark encyclopedia of the Quranic sciences. He also wrote al-Ijabah li ma Istadrakathu Aisha ala al-Sahabah, a specialized work on Aisha's criticisms of other companions. Despite his relatively short life (he died at about 48), his scholarly output was remarkable in scope and depth.
