Suggest editAbout Islam.wiki
Islam.wiki is a free, community-driven Islamic knowledge base dedicated to making authentic Islamic content accessible to Muslims and non-Muslims worldwide. Developed under Ummat Dev, the platform draws on classical Islamic scholarship, peer-reviewed translations, and a network of volunteer editors committed to accuracy, balance, and clarity. Our goal is to be the most comprehensive and trustworthy Islamic reference on the internet — free forever, scholar-informed, and open to the global ummah.
Every article, biography, hadith reference, and Quranic entry on this site reflects a commitment to Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah principles. Content is curated to serve Muslims across all four accepted madhabs — Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali — without sectarian bias or favoritism toward any particular modern scholar or movement.
How to Contribute or Report Corrections
Islam.wiki relies on knowledgeable volunteers to maintain accuracy. If you notice a factual error, a translation issue, or content that does not meet our theological guidelines, we want to hear from you. Community-reported corrections are reviewed by our editorial team before any changes are published.
To submit a correction, use the feedback button available on every article page. Include the specific claim in question, the source you believe is more accurate (book title, hadith number, scholar name, etc.), and any relevant context. Corrections backed by classical sources are prioritized. Anonymous reports are accepted, but providing a name or email helps us follow up if clarification is needed.
For those interested in contributing new content — biographies, articles, book summaries, or translations — please reach out through our volunteer intake form. We welcome people with backgrounds in Islamic studies, Arabic language, history, or academic research. All new contributors start with a review period before edits are published directly.
Editorial Guidelines
Islam.wiki maintains strict editorial standards. Content must be grounded in the Quran, the authenticated Sunnah, and the established consensus of classical Islamic scholarship. Speculative theology, partisan religious politics, and content promoting rejected sects or movements is not published. Differences of scholarly opinion within Ahl us-Sunnah are presented fairly and without editorializing.
Arabic text is always included alongside translations where applicable. Citations reference classical works, hadith collections by their standard numbering, and contemporary scholarly commentary where it adds clarity. We do not rely on anonymous internet sources or unverified attributions.
Our tone is factual and respectful. Islam.wiki serves a global, multilingual audience — content is written to be understood by a general Muslim reader without assuming specialized knowledge, while remaining accurate enough for students of Islamic studies.
Contact Methods
For general inquiries, partnership proposals, media requests, or institutional collaboration, email us at [email protected]. We also maintain a contact form on this page for structured submissions. Response times vary — volunteer-run projects move at the pace of their contributors, and we appreciate your patience.
If you represent a masjid, Islamic school, da'wah organization, or academic institution interested in partnering with Islam.wiki to expand content in a particular area, we welcome those conversations. Similarly, if you are a translator fluent in Arabic and another major language and wish to contribute localized content, please reach out through the volunteer form. The project is growing, and the need for quality Islamic content in Urdu, French, Indonesian, Turkish, and other languages is significant.
Islam.wiki is a long-term project built for the ummah. Jazakum Allahu khayran for every correction submitted, every error reported, and every person who shares the site with someone who might benefit from it.
