أبو زرعة الرازي
Imam
Ubaydullah ibn Abd al-Karim Abu Zur'ah al-Razi (200–264 AH / 817–878 CE) was a leading hadith scholar of the 3rd century AH, based in Ray (near modern Tehran). He was a close associate of Imam al-Bukhari and a peer of Abu Hatim al-Razi. Together, Abu Zur'ah and Abu Hatim represent the leading hadith criticism school of the Razi (Persian) region. His collection of narrators' evaluations (known as Su'alat Abu Zur'ah) is an important reference in hadith criticism. Imam al-Bukhari showed him drafts of the Sahih and benefited from his opinions.
