إبراهيم النخعي
Ibrahim ibn Yazid al-Nakha'i al-Kufi (50-96H) was the leading jurist of Kufa in the generation after the Companions (Tabi'in). He studied under Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid (his uncle), al-Aswad ibn Yazid, and transmitted extensively from the scholars of Kufa who had learned directly from Abdullah ibn Masud. He was the primary teacher of Hammad ibn Abi Sulayman, who was in turn the teacher of Abu Hanifah — placing al-Nakha'i as a key link in the Hanafi chain of transmission. His legal opinions were extensively documented and formed the basis of early Kufan jurisprudence.
