Sahnun

Abd al-Salam ibn Sa'id ibn Habib al-Tanukhi, known as Sahnun, was the foremost jurist of Kairouan (Tunisia) and compiler of the Mudawwana al-Kubra. This work records the legal opinions of Ibn al-Qasim and became the most important reference text for Maliki jurisprudence. He is considered the chief imam of the Maliki school after Malik and Ibn al-Qasim.
