أم عطية الأنصارية
Nusayba bint al-Harith al-Ansariyya, known as Umm Atiyya (died approximately 30 AH), was a female companion of the Prophet ﷺ from the Ansar of Madinah. She is one of the most frequently cited female authorities on practical Islamic matters, particularly the rulings on washing the dead (ghusl al-mayyit) and menstruation. She participated in military campaigns alongside the Prophet ﷺ, tending to the wounded and treating the sick. Her hadiths appear in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, and she is a key narrator for the rulings related to women's worship.
