Umm Salamah (RA) — this entry under 'Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu'minin' refers to the same Mother of the Believers whose full biography appears under entry 24, here appearing under a slightly different transliteration in the Abu Dawud collection. Umm Salamah was one of the earliest Muslims, emigrated twice for the sake of Islam, and became a wife of the Prophet ﷺ after the death of her first husband. She was renowned for her wisdom, her large number of hadith narrations (approximately 378), and her role as a counselor and scholar in the early community. She outlived all the other wives of the Prophet ﷺ and passed away around 62–63 AH.
