A well-organized Hanafi fiqh manual that explains the reasoning behind each ruling in the relied-upon Hanafi text al-Mukhtar. Al-Mawsili provides the evidences from Quran and Sunnah, the views of the three major Hanafi imams (Abu Hanifah, Abu Yusuf, and Muhammad ash-Shaybani), and the rational justifications for each position. Widely used in Islamic universities as a teaching text for Hanafi fiqh.
