English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sa'id ibn Jubayr — from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'There are no days in which deeds are more excellent than [deeds done in] these days' — meaning the [first] ten days [of Dhul-Hijjah]. It was asked: 'Not even jihad in the path of Allah?' He said: 'Not even jihad in the path of Allah — except for a man who goes out with his life and his wealth and returns with neither.'
