حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ قَالَ حَضَرْنَا مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ جَنَازَةَ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَرِفَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ هَذِهِ زَوْجَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّ
هُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا رَفَعْتُمْ نَعْشَهَا فَلَا تُزَعْزِعُوهَا وَلَا تُزَلْزِلُوا وَارْفُقُوا فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْسِمُ لِثَمَانٍ وَلَا يَقْسِمُ لِوَاحِدَةٍ قَالَ عَطَاءٌ الَّتِي لَا يَقْسِمُ لَهَا صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ حُيَيِّ بْنِ أَخْطَبَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Ata' — that he said: 'We attended the funeral of Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, at Sarif. Ibn 'Abbas said: 'This is the wife of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When you lift her bier, do not jolt or shake it — be gentle.' [He also said:] 'He divided [time] among eight [wives] and did not divide [time] for one.' 'Ata' said: 'The one he did not divide time for was Safiyyah bint Huyayy ibn Akhtab.'
