حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ مَهَانَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَصَدَّقْنَ يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ وَ
لَوْ مِنْ حُلِيِّكُنَّ فَإِنَّكُنَّ أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَقَامَتْ امْرَأَةٌ لَيْسَتْ مِنْ عِلْيَةِ النِّسَاءِ فَقَالَتْ لِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ لِأَنَّكُنَّ تُكْثِرْنَ اللَّعْنَ وَتَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Mansur, from Dhar, from Wa'il ibn Mahana — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Give in charity, O gathering of women — even from your jewelry — for you are the majority of the inhabitants of Hellfire.' A woman who was not from the elite ladies stood up and said: 'Why, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Because you curse excessively and you are ungrateful [kafar] to your husbands.'
