English Translation

Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Za'idah narrated to us, from 'Asim ibn Abi al-Najud, from Zirr, from 'Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) رضي الله عنه who said: A black slave joined the Prophet ﷺ and then he died. the Prophet ﷺ was informed, and he said: 'Look, has he left anything?' They said: 'He left two dirhams.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Two brands of fire.' [Meaning the slave had hoarded wealth without spending in charity during his life.]
