English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya ibn Adam, from Sufyan, from Yahya al-Jabir, from Abi al-Majid al-Hanafi — that 'Abdullah said: 'We asked our Prophet (ﷺ) about the pace for a funeral procession. He said: A pace below a trot. If [the deceased] was good, you hasten him toward it [the good]. If otherwise — away with the people of the Fire! The funeral procession is to be followed, and one who walks ahead of it is not from us.'
