حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأُمَمُ بِالْمَوْسِمِ فَرَاثَتْ عَلَيَّ أُمَّتِي قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُهُمْ فَأَعْجَبَتْنِي كَثْرَتُهُمْ وَهَيْئَاتُهُمْ قَدْ مَلَئُوا السَّهْلَ وَالْجَبَلَ قَالَ حَسَنٌ فَقَالَ أَرَضِيتَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَإِنَّ لَكَ مَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ وَحَسَنٌ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ
إِنَّ مَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وَهُمْ الَّذِينَ لَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَلَا يَكْتَوُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَدَعَا لَهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Affan and Hasan ibn Musa, from Hammad ibn Salama, from 'Asim ibn Bahdala, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The nations were displayed before me at the [Hajj] season. My ummah came last [in the display]. I saw them and their great numbers and appearance amazed me — they had filled the plains and the mountains.' Hasan says: 'He said: "Are you pleased, O Muhammad?" I said: "Yes."' 'Affan and Hasan both say: 'He said: "O Muhammad, with these [are] seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning — they are those who do not seek ruqya [incantation], do not take [ill] omens, do not brand themselves [for treatment], and in their Lord they put their trust." 'Ukkasha then stood and said: "O Prophet of Allah, pray that Allah makes me one of them." He prayed for him. Then another man stood and said: "O Prophet of Allah, pray that Allah makes me one of them." He said: "'Ukkasha has already preceded you in this."'
