English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ibn Jurayj, from 'Ata', from Habib ibn Abi Thabit — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: \"There is no [binding restriction in] 'umra [lifetime conditional gift] or ruqba [reversionary gift] — whoever is given something by 'umra or ruqba, it belongs to him in his life and after his death.\"'
