حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَن

ْ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى غَيْرِ طَاعَةِ اللَّهِ مَاتَ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَقَدْ نَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنْ بَيْعَةٍ كَانَتْ مِيتَتُهُ مِيتَةَ ضَلَالَةٍ

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ishaq ibn 'Isa, from Ibn Lahi'a, from Bukayr, from Nafi' — that he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever dies in disobedience to Allah dies without any proof [for himself]. And whoever dies having withdrawn his hand from [obedience to] the pledge — his death is a death of misguidance."'
