حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ سُئِل

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Hurmuz al-A'raj — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the young children of the polytheists [who die before reaching adulthood]. He said: 'Allah knows best what they would have done [if they had lived].'
