Hadith #94
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجِيءُ النَّبِيُّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَعَهُ الرَّجُلُ وَالنَّبِيُّ وَمَعَهُ الرَّجُلَانِ وَأَكْثَرُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَيُدْعَى قَوْمُهُ فَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ هَلْ بَلَّغَكُمْ هَذَا فَيَقُولُونَ لَا فَيُقَالُ لَهُ هَلْ بَلَّغْتَ قَوْمَكَ فَيَقُولُ نَعَمْ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ مَنْ
يَشْهَدُ لَكَ فَيَقُولُ مُحَمَّدٌ وَأُمَّتُهُ فَيُدْعَى مُحَمَّدٌ وَأُمَّتُهُ فَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ هَلْ بَلَّغَ هَذَا قَوْمَهُ فَيَقُولُونَ نَعَمْ فَيُقَالُ وَمَا عِلْمُكُمْ فَيَقُولُونَ جَاءَنَا نَبِيُّنَا فَأَخْبَرَنَا أَنَّ الرُّسُلَ قَدْ بَلَّغُوا فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ { وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا } قَالَ يَقُولُ عَدْلًا { لِتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا }

English Translation
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, al-A'mash narrated to us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A Prophet will come on the Day of Resurrection with two people, and a Prophet will come with three, and more or less than that. It will be said to him: Did you convey to your people? He will say: Yes. Then his people will be called and asked: Did he convey to you? They will say: No prophet came to us. So it will be said to him: Who will testify for you? He will say: Muhammad ﷺ and his ummah. So the ummah of Muhammad ﷺ will be called and asked: Did this man convey to his people? They will say: Yes. It will be said: How did you know? They will say: Our Prophet ﷺ informed us that the Messengers had conveyed, and we believed him. And that is the saying of Allah (عز وجل): {And thus We have made you a just nation, that you may be witnesses over mankind, and the Messenger be a witness over you} [al-Baqarah 2:143].'
