حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ

صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَنَقَشَ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي قَدْ اتَّخَذْتُ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَنَقَشْتُ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَلَا تَنْقُشُوا عَلَيْهِ

English Translation

Yunus narrated to us, Hammad, meaning Ibn Zayd, narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Suhayb narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a ring made of silver and inscribed on it 'Muhammad Rasulullah.' He said: 'I have had a ring made of silver and inscribed on it Muhammad Rasulullah. Let none of you engrave the like of it on his ring.'
