حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ تَلَقَّيْنَا أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ حِينَ قَدِمَ مِنْ الشَّامِ فَلَقِينَاهُ بِعَيْنِ التّ
َمْرِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى دَابَّتِهِ لِغَيْرِ الْقِبْلَةِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ إِنَّكَ تُصَلِّي إِلَى غَيْرِ الْقِبْلَةِ فَقَالَ لَوْلَا أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ مَا فَعَلْتُ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Anas ibn Sireen (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that we met Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) when he arrived from Syria. We found him at 'Ayn al-Tamr praying on his mount facing other than the qiblah. We said to him: "You are praying toward other than the qiblah!" He said: "Were it not that I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ doing this, I would not have done it."
