Hadith #115

English Translation

Isḥāq ibn ʿĪsā and al-Ḥakam ibn Nāfiʿ narrated to us, they said: Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, from Baḥīr ibn Saʿd, from Khālid ibn Maʿdān, from al-Miqdām ibn Maʿdī Karib al-Kindī رضي الله عنه, who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Indeed, the martyr has six — al-Ḥakam said: six qualities — with Allāh عز وجل: he is forgiven with the first gush of his blood; he sees — al-Ḥakam said: he is shown — his seat in Paradise; he is adorned with the garment of faith; he is married to the ḥūr al-ʿīn; he is protected from the punishment of the grave; and he is safe from the Greatest Terror" — al-Ḥakam said: "the Day of the Greatest Terror" — "and a crown of dignity is placed upon his head, a single ruby of which is better than the world and all that is in it; and he is married to seventy-two wives from the ḥūr al-ʿīn; and he is granted intercession for seventy of his relatives." Al-Ḥakam ibn Nāfiʿ narrated to us, Ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, from Baḥīr ibn Saʿd, from Khālid ibn Maʿdān, from Kathīr ibn Murrah, from ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit, from the Prophet ﷺ, with the same.
