ʿAbdullāh narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn ʿAbdillāh al-Muḥarrimī narrated to us, Abū Sufyān al-Ḥimyarī Saʿīd ibn Yaḥyā narrated to us, who said: al-Ḍaḥḥāk ibn Ḥamzah narrated to us, from Ghaylān ibn Jāmiʿ, from Iyād ibn Laqīṭ, from Abū Rimthah, who said: "the Prophet ﷺ used to dye with henna and katam, and his hair used to reach his shoulders — or his upper arms." ʿAbdullāh narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn al-ʿAlāʾ Abū Kurayb al-Hamdānī narrated to us, Ibn Idrīs narrated to us, who said: I heard Ibn Abjar, from Iyād ibn Laqīṭ, from Abū Rimthah al-Tamīmī, who said: "I came to the Prophet ﷺ with my father, and he had hair reaching down with traces of henna" — and he mentioned the hadith.
