English Translation
Sulaymān ibn Ḥarb narrated to us, Ḥammād narrated to us, from ʿĀṣim ibn Bahdala, from Ḥabīb ibn Abī Jubayrah, from Yaʿlā ibn Siyābah, that the Prophet ﷺ passed by a grave and said: "The occupant of this grave is being punished for something not considered major." Then he called for a palm branch and placed it on his grave, saying: "Perhaps it will lighten his punishment as long as it remains moist."
