حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ حَفْصٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مُصَبِّحٍ أَوْ ابْنَ مُصَبِّحٍ شَكَّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ السِّمْطِ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَ
لَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَادَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ رَوَاحَةَ قَالَ فَمَا تَحَوَّزَ لَهُ عَنْ فِرَاشِهِ فَقَالَ أَتَدْرُونَ مَنْ شُهَدَاءُ أُمَّتِي قَالُوا قَتْلُ الْمُسْلِمِ شَهَادَةٌ قَالَ إِنَّ شُهَدَاءَ أُمَّتِي إِذًا لَقَلِيلٌ قَتْلُ الْمُسْلِمِ شَهَادَةٌ وَالطَّاعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ وَالْمَرْأَةُ يَقْتُلُهَا وَلَدُهَا جَمْعَاءَ

English Translation
ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited ʿAbdullāh ibn Rawāḥah, and he did not make room for him on his bed. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Do you know who the martyrs of my ummah are?' They said: 'Being killed as a Muslim is martyrdom.' He said: 'Then the martyrs of my ummah would be few. Being killed as a Muslim is martyrdom. The plague is martyrdom. And a woman who dies in childbirth, dragged by her child (to Paradise), is martyrdom.'
