Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ اللَّهُ
مَّ آتِ نَفْسِي تَقْوَاهَا وَزَكِّهَا أَنْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا أَنْتَ وَلِيُّهَا وَمَوْلَاهَا اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ وَنَفَسٍ لَا تَشْبَعُ وَعِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ وَدَعْوَةٍ لَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا قَالَ فَقَالَ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُنَاهُنَّ وَنَحْنُ نُعَلِّمُكُمُوهُنَّ

English Translation
Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, miserliness, old age, and the torment of the grave. O Allah, grant my soul its taqwā and purify it, for You are the best of those who purify it. You are its Protector and its Master. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not humble itself, from a soul that is never satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered.'
