Chain of Narration (Isnad)
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي قَيْسِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ
Body (Matn)
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْمُرُهُمْ بِصِيَامِ أَيَّامِ الْبِيضِ وَيَقُولُ هُنَّ صِيَامُ الشَّهْرِ أَوْ قَالَ الدَّهْرِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from ʿAbd al-Malik (a man from Banū Qays ibn Thaʿlabah) from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command them to fast the ayyam al-bīḍ [white days] and would say: “They are equivalent to fasting the month [al-dahr].”
