حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي سَلِيطٍ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي أَزْ
فَلَةٍ مِنْ النَّاسِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ التَّقْوَى هَاهُنَا قَالَ حَمَّادٌ وَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى صَدْرِهِ وَمَا تَوَادَّ اثْنَانِ فِي اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا حَدَثٌ يُحْدِثُهُ أَحَدُهُمَا وَالْمُحْدِثُ شَرٌّ وَالْمُحْدِثُ شَرٌّ وَالْمُحْدِثُ شَرٌّ

English Translation
It was narrated from a man of Banu Saliyyt that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Two men who love each other for the sake of Allah — if one of them wrongs the other or a separation occurs between them, and the wrongdoer does not repent before death, they will be enemies to each other on the Day of Resurrection. The one who caused the separation between two who love each other for Allah's sake is the worse of the two.'
