حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى الْحِمْصِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُبَيِّ ابْنِ امْرَأَةِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ ع
َلَيْكُمْ أُمَرَاءُ تَشْغَلُهُمْ أَشْيَاءُ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى يُؤَخِّرُوهَا عَنْ وَقْتِهَا فَصَلُّوهَا لِوَقْتِهَا قَالَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتُهَا مَعَهُمْ أُصَلِّي قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There will come upon you rulers who will be preoccupied with things that keep them from prayer until they delay it beyond its time. Pray the prayer at its proper time.' A man asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, then if I catch the prayer with them, should I pray?' He ﷺ said: 'Yes, if you wish.'
