حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ قَوْلَ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى {
لَهُمْ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ } فَقَالَ لَقَدْ سَأَلْتَنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ مَا سَأَلَنِي عَنْهُ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَوْ أَحَدٌ قَبْلَكَ قَالَ تِلْكَ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ يَرَاهَا الرَّجُلُ الصَّالِحُ أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the saying of Allah: 'For them is good news in the worldly life and in the Hereafter.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'You have asked me about something that no one from my nation — or perhaps, no one before you — has asked me about. That is the righteous dream that the righteous man sees or that is seen for him.'
