حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَهُوَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ نُبِّئْتُ أَنَّ جِنَازَةً مَرَّتْ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا فَقَامَ الْحَسَنُ وَقَعَدَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَ
ا فَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّتْ بِهِ جِنَازَةٌ فَقَامَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ بَلَى وَقَدْ جَلَسَ فَلَمْ يُنْكِرْ الْحَسَنُ مَا قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Yazid, meaning Ibn Ibrahim al-Tustari, informed us, Muhammad narrated to us. He said: I was told that a funeral passed by al-Hasan ibn 'Ali and Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهم). Al-Hasan stood and Ibn 'Abbas sat. Al-Hasan said to Ibn 'Abbas: 'Did you not see that a funeral passed by the Prophet ﷺ and he stood?' Ibn 'Abbas said: 'Yes, and he also sat.' Al-Hasan did not object to what Ibn 'Abbas said.
