حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ قَالَ قُ
لْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَغْنَيْتَ عَنْ عَمِّكَ فَقَدْ كَانَ يَحُوطُكَ وَيَغْضَبُ لَكَ قَالَ هُوَ فِي ضَحْضَاحٍ وَلَوْلَا أَنَا لَكَانَ فِي الدَّرْكِ الْأَسْفَلِ مِنْ النَّارِ

English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Sufyan, 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr narrated to me, 'Abdullah ibn al-Harith narrated to us, al-'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) narrated to us. He said: I said to the Prophet ﷺ: 'What have you availed your uncle? For he used to protect you and become angry for your sake.' He said: 'He is in a shallow pool [of Fire]. Were it not for me, he would be in the lowest depth of the Fire.'
