حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ حَضَرْنَا مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ جَنَازَةَ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَرِفَ قَالَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ هَذِهِ مَيْمُونَةُ إِذَا رَفَعْتُمْ نَعْشَهَا فَلَا ت
ُزَعْزِعُوهَا وَلَا تُزَلْزِلُوهَا فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ تِسْعُ نِسْوَةٍ وَكَانَ يَقْسِمُ لِثَمَانٍ وَوَاحِدَةٌ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيَقْسِمَ لَهَا قَالَ عَطَاءٌ الَّتِي لَمْ يَكُنْ يَقْسِمُ لَهَا صَفِيَّةُ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Ja'far ibn 'Awn narrated from Ibn Jurayj, from 'Ata', who said: We attended the funeral of Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, with Ibn 'Abbas at Sarif. Ibn 'Abbas said: 'This is Maymunah. When you lift her bier, do not shake it or jolt it. For the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had nine wives and he used to divide (his nights) among eight of them, and one he did not divide for.' 'Ata' said: 'The one he did not divide for was Safiyyah.'
