Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حَرَّمَ مَكَّةَ فَلَمْ تَحِلَّ لِأَحَدٍ كَانَ قَبْلِي وَلَا تَحِلُّ لِأَحَدٍ بَعْدِي وَإِنَّمَا أُحِلَّتْ
لِي سَاعَةً مِنْ نَهَارٍ لَا يُخْتَلَى خَلَاهَا وَلَا يُعْضَدُ شَجَرُهَا وَلَا يُنَفَّرُ صَيْدُهَا وَلَا تُلْتَقَطُ لُقَطَتُهَا إِلَّا لِمُعَرِّفٍ فَقَالَ الْعَبَّاسُ إِلَّا الْإِذْخِرَ لِصَاغَتِنَا وَقُبُورِنَا قَالَ إِلَّا الْإِذْخِرَ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Wuhayb narrated to us, Khalid narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما): the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah (عز وجل) has made Makkah sacred. It was not lawful for anyone before me, nor will it be lawful for anyone after me. It was only made lawful for me for an hour of a day. Its vegetation is not to be cut, its trees are not to be felled, its game is not to be disturbed, and its lost property is not to be picked up except by one who announces it." Al-'Abbas said: "Except the idhkhir grass, for our goldsmiths and our graves." He said: "Except the idhkhir."
