عبد الرزاق الصنعاني
Abu Bakr Abd al-Razzaq ibn Hammam al-Himyari al-San'ani al-Yamani was the foremost hadith scholar of Yemen. Scholars from across the Islamic world — including Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Yahya ibn Ma'in, and Yahya al-Qattan — traveled to Sana'a to study under him. His al-Musannaf (11 volumes in modern editions) is one of the oldest preserved hadith collections, predating the six canonical collections. It is a primary source for Islamic jurisprudence. He also wrote Tafsir Abd al-Razzaq. He died in Sana'a in 211 AH.
