عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص
Abu Muhammad Abd Allah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As al-Sahmi al-Qurayshi was the son of the Companion 'Amr ibn al-'As. He was one of the most prolific narrators of hadith, with over 700 narrations. The Prophet ﷺ gave him special permission to write down hadiths — his collection was called al-Sahifah al-Sadiqah (the Truthful Document), considered the oldest written hadith collection. He was known for his extreme piety, fasting constantly and praying all night, for which the Prophet ﷺ counselled moderation. He died in 63 AH.
