Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah

Author of al-Musannaf, one of the most important early hadith compilations with over thirty thousand narrations. A leading hafiz of Kufa, he was a teacher of Imam Ahmad, al-Bukhari, Muslim, and Abu Dawud.
