أبو الدرداء
Uwaymir ibn Zayd ibn Qays al-Khazraji, known as Abu al-Darda' (died 32 AH), was a companion of the Prophet ﷺ known for his wisdom, asceticism, and deep spiritual insight. He was one of the companions who learned the Quran directly from the Prophet ﷺ and was appointed as judge of Damascus and teacher of Quran to the Syrians by Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab. He narrated many hadiths and is famous for his sayings on wisdom and knowledge. His wife Umm al-Darda' was also a notable scholar. He said: 'The world is a prison for the believer and paradise for the unbeliever.'
