Abd al-Fattah ibn Muhammad Abu Ghuddah (1336–1417 H/1917–1997 M) adalah seorang Suriahn Hanafi ahli hadits from Aleppo who became salah satu yang paling berpengaruh ulama Islams and editors of the abad ke-20. Lahir di Aleppo, ia belajar under leading para ulama of Suriah including Syaikh Ragib at-Tabbakh and Syaikh Isa al-Bayanuni, and later melakukan perjalanan ke Mesir to study under al-Kawthari in Kairo.
Abu Ghuddah mastered both the Hanafi legal tradisi and the ilmu-ilmu hadits. Ia menjadi a produktif editor of klasik texts, producing critical editions of numerous important works including the Muwatta' of Imam Malik, the Muwatta' of Imam Muhammad ash-Shaybani, and works by al-Lucknawi, al-Kawthari, and many others. His editorial metodeology adalah meticulous, and his footnotes and introductions to edited works adalah often ulamaly contributions in themselves.
Ia mengarang important original works including al-Ulama al-Uzzab alladhina Atharut-Talim ala az-Zawaj (Celibate Scholars Who Preferred Knowledge over Marriage), a biographical study of para ulama dikenal karena their devotion to learning; and Rasul Allah ﷺ wa Asatidhatihi al-Arba'ah (studies on the gurus of Nabi ﷺ). He also mengarang detailed studies on hadith metodeology.
Abu Ghuddah taught in Arab Saudi and elsewhere, training many murids including Muhammad Awwamah. He adalah dikenal karena his scrupulous adherence to the Hanafi mazhab and Maturidi teologi. He wafat in Riyadh in 1997. His editorial work and his personal para ulamahip make him salah satu yang paling penting ulama Islams of the abad ke-20.
