This entry represents narrations attributed jointly or in parallel to Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, the Prophet's wife, and Abdullah ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, the Prophet's cousin. Aisha was the foremost authority among the Prophet's wives on religious knowledge, transmitting approximately 2,210 hadiths on every aspect of Islamic practice, the Prophet's private conduct, prayer, and household life. Ibn Abbas was the greatest Quranic exegete among the companions, narrating over 1,600 hadiths and earning the titles Hibr al-Ummah and Turjuman al-Quran. When a narration carries both their names, it typically reflects parallel transmission through independent chains, which strengthens the report's reliability. Together, these two companions cover an extraordinary breadth of religious knowledge. Their combined authority in the hadith literature is among the highest of any narrator pairing, and their jointly attributed narrations are cited as primary evidence in virtually every chapter of classical Islamic jurisprudence and scholarship. This is a variant entry of the pairing listed at index 293.
