This entry represents narrations transmitted jointly or in parallel by two companions: Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, and Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him. Zayd ibn Khalid was a companion from the tribe of Juhaynah who participated in the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah and narrated hadiths primarily on legal matters including found property, testimony, and acts of worship. Abu Hurairah was the most prolific narrator of hadith among all companions, with over 5,000 narrations. Their joint transmission of certain narrations — particularly those concerning the penalties and rulings on specific offenses that appear in the hadith of the two adulterers during the expedition — is among the more well-known examples of parallel companion testimony in the Sahihayn. When both companions narrate the same hadith, the convergence of their chains constitutes strong evidence for the narration's authenticity. Their combined narrations cover a wide spectrum of legal and ethical topics central to classical Islamic jurisprudence.
