الأسود بن يزيد
Al-Aswad ibn Yazid ibn Qays al-Nakha'i (d. 74H) was one of the foremost Tabi'in of Kufa and a key transmitter of the legal and hadith tradition of Abdullah ibn Masud. He was the maternal uncle of Ibrahim al-Nakha'i. He performed Hajj 80 times according to some reports and was known for his extreme devotion and fasting. Imam Ahmad listed him among the most reliable narrators of Kufa. His opinions are frequently cited in Hanafi jurisprudence as representing the Kufan school.
