المقداد بن عمرو
al-Miqdad ibn Amr al-Bahrani al-Kindi (died 33 AH), also known as al-Miqdad ibn al-Aswad, was one of the earliest Muslims and among the first seven to accept Islam. He was the only horseman at the Battle of Badr, riding into combat on horseback — a distinction highlighted by the Prophet ﷺ. He participated in all the major battles alongside the Prophet ﷺ. At the consultation before Badr, he delivered one of the most famous statements: 'We will not say as the Children of Israel said to Moses... Rather we will fight on your right and your left, in front of you and behind you.' He narrated hadiths and is counted among the senior companions.
