Al-Miswar ibn Makhrama ibn Nawfal al-Zuhri al-Qurashi (RA) was born in Mecca approximately two years before the Hijra and came to Medina as a young child. He was the nephew of the companion Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf (RA), being his sister's son. He narrated from the Prophet ﷺ and from senior companions including Abu Bakr, Umar (RA), and others. He is particularly known for his narrations about the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, where he was present and observed the negotiations. His narrations on this event are among the most detailed accounts of that pivotal episode in Islamic history. He also narrated important hadiths on the prohibition of combining multiple wives within forbidden degrees. He was a resident of Medina and later died during the siege of Mecca by al-Hajjaj in approximately 64 AH.
